Cazoo ramps up “Honestly, Finally” campaign with launch of snap and search AI-powered app tool

Cazoo app users can now begin their car search by taking a photo of a vehicle they like.

The new snap and search tool uses AI to analyse images uploaded by buyers. It identifies the car’s make and model, then searches live dealer listings for matching stock. Buyers receive a tailored set of results instantly.

Developed in-house by Cazoo in response to buyer behaviour, snap and search is believed to be the first used car marketplace tool to empower buyers to start searches using images from their camera rolls.

The addition follows the recent rollout of Cazoo’s “Honestly, Finally” brand platform’s pledge to build buyer trust by reducing friction and increasing transparency.

Thomas Orthgiess, Chief Product Officer of Cazoo, said: “Snap and search presents car buyers with tech they’ll be familiar with from non-automotive marketplaces. Some people spot cars they like in the wild, on a driveway or in a social media post but cannot necessarily search for it because they do not know what it is.

“We’re now able to put those buyers in touch with dealers selling the models they’re interested in a seamless process. If you can snap it, you can search for it.

“For dealers this means buyers are seeing relevant stock faster and viewing listings at the moment their interest is highest. We expect these sessions to convert into more vehicle page views, leading to more enquiries landing with dealers.”

Cazoo has also updated swipe to discover, one of the most popular features on its app. Its new look and increased functionality enables buyers to swipe through the cars they like faster than before, while building a shortlist of vehicles they can return to.

Cazoo was the UK’s most downloaded car marketplace app in Q2, according to data from Sensor Tower, the digital intelligence provider, with 412,527 downloads. Cazoo also retained the top spot in July 2026 for the third consecutive month with 166,167 downloads, 49% higher than the app in second place.
